Frank

Back at the hotel, I still can’t relax as Enzo called a meeting in his room. “I’ve gotta go, baby.” I’d just taken off my shoes when the text came in, and I had to put them back on.

Lisa comes out of the bathroom wearing nothing but her bra and panties. “What? I was just about to give you a massage.”

“My brother wants to talk to us. I’ll be back soon. I hope.” I can’t imagine my brother calling us in for a meeting if it wasn’t something pretty important.

“Aww, man.” Her lower lip juts out as she pouts. “I was looking forward to running my hands all over your naked body.”

“Yeah, I was looking forward to that too. Go take a shower and get all that makeup off your naturally gorgeous face, and as soon as I get back, you and I will meet in that big bed over there and love the night away.”

Her eyes light up, and she runs to me, throwing her arms around me. “I’ll be waiting for you right there.” Kissing me softly, she gives me a hint of what’s to come later.

I don’t want to let her go. I want to strip off my clothes and join her in the shower. But work calls, and no one leaves Enzo Vietti waiting and lives to tell about it.

“See you soon, baby.” Pulling out of her tight embrace, I laugh as I leave the hotel room.

It’s not lost on me that things could have gone really bad for us. She could have been a super bitch to me. After all, I did take everything she had. And I moved into her home, changed everything about it, and completely took over her life.

Still, she took it in stride and never held back her affection for me or her love for our outstanding sex life.

Leo steps in next to me as he comes out of his hotel room. “What do you think the boss has in mind, Frank?”

“I have no idea.” I shove my hands into my pockets, hoping he doesn’t have bad news for us.

Sheila walks out of the room just as we get there. “I’m going to go hang out with Lola while you boys talk.” She walks away fast, and I can tell she’s a little upset about the impromptu meeting her husband called.

Going inside, I find Enzo sitting at a little desk and writing on the small notepad the hotel provides. “Sit. I have an idea that could change our lives.”

“So, nothing too important,” I joke as I take a seat on the end of the bed.

My brother turned to look at me with a very serious expression on his face. “I have a feeling that someone is going to stage an incident, and I would rather be the one who pulls it off than the one who is a victim of it.”

“So, strike first and strike hard,” Leo says.

I wonder why it’s only the three of us here. “Are the other guys coming?”

“No.
